Last Saturday was one of the most exciting days in my little brother’s life! He was so happy to be baptised and finally join as a member to the Mormon church! I just love the feeling of a baptism! I mean, all you Mormons understand what I mean! The family and friends, the spirit, and the knowlegde that for the person being baptised it’s a new begining.
I hardly remember my own baptism. (I mean, really, it was almost eight years ago.) I can’t recall exactly who was there, or what they said in my baptism book, or even the presents given after words. However, I do remember the peace that settles and spirit that’s felt when you emerge out of those waters!
The one gift I do remember getting and the only one I still have are my own personal scriptures and scripture case. Throughout the years I’ve learned a lot more than I knew when I was eight years old and a lot of those lessons are highlighted in red within those scriptures. Above everything I own and have owned this gift I recieved from my parents the day of my baptism stands as the most valuable.
I can’t wait till little Bobby fills his new scriptures with his life, and most importantly fills his life with the LDS Scriptures.
