LDS White Dresses
Everyone looks good in white. It seems to be the color associated with very important events. The first white dress wore by any girl, is the LDS Blessing Dress. Some are handed down from generation to generation. They are stored lovingly in grandma’s closet until the child is born. The next white dress is one that comes along is the LDS Baptism dress. The shiny little girl wearing white and feeling spotless. The next dress comes is the White Temple Dress when you go to the Temple and receive your endowments and then are sealed to a spouse. Again, feeling beautiful, clean, happy and loved by those around you. Every time I return to the temple I get that feeling back again.
Frequent temple attendance, as our circumstances allow, is another way to keep our spiritual windows clean. Worship in the house of the Lord will keep our view of what matters most clear and sharp, focused crisply, and free from the dust of the world.—Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin, General Conference, October 1995
